Dallas meets YVR!
Tourism reps from Dallas rolled into Vancouver recently -- not because the city was part of a tourism promotions mission, but because the major MPI (Meeting Professionals International) annual world conference was in town. So, as an MPI exhibitor with an interest in enhancing its tourism profile to 2,600 international delegates, it only made sense to get together for lunch with some of the travel media in Vancouver. Hence the gathering at the Goldfish Pacific Kitchen in Vancouver’s Yaletown district, where the Texans feasted on Pacific Rim cuisine. Hosting the lunch were (l-r) Phillip Jones, president of the Dallas CVB; Sana Keller, president of Pulse Communications, organizers of the event; and Dustin Clark, project manager for marketing and public relations at the Dallas CVB.
