The U.S. Commercial Service Canada and the Consul General of the United States, Kevin Johnson, hosted an industry reception, sponsored by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, last night week in Toronto. A large delegation from Myrtle Beach is visiting Canada to help build tourism relationships in the leisure and corporate markets on both sides of the border. The trip coincides with the recent launch of Porter Airlines’ service between Toronto and Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is also a sister city of Burlington, Ont. Pictured at the Toronto event are (l-r) Brant Branham, chairman of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes, Liz Gilland, chair of Horry County Council, and US Consul General Kevin Johnson.
